Muntz Industries was formed with the idea of manufacturing solenoid coils, but shortly after its inception a large need for precision machined components was discovered, thus the formation of AFC Machining Division. Both entities share one manufacturing facility in Mundelein, IL. Muntz Industries original concentration has been the manufacturing of bobbin wound high energy performance solenoid coils to OEM specifications. Through the development of this product Muntz Industries has found itself manufacturing cable harnesses, lead wire assemblies, eyeleting services, high temp-epoxy encapsulation, and injection molded encapsulations as well. AFC Machining has solely concentrated on CNC precision turned parts for the metalworking industry. Our state of the art equipment allows us to successfully manufacture for various markets worldwide, such as: pneumatic, hydraulic, agriculture, automotive, medical, and aerospace. Our machine line up consists of 3-axis, 5-axis, and 6-axis machine tools that vary from CNC Swiss precision machine tools to Twin spindle Twin turret precision machine tools. This machine technology and our detail-orientated in process controls allow a complete and efficient manufacturing process throughout. This type of manufacturing thru-put allows AFC Machining to provide just in time high quality precision machined components at a competitive price to our customers on a continuous basis.

Our continual on-going investment into computer technology systems allow us to run the latest software and systems to which will give our customer’s an unprecedented quick response to any inquiry they may request. Purchasing, scheduling, production, and delivery expectations usually can be conveyed in minutes following a request. We take great pride in our current Just In Time delivery performance being 98%. Our quoting expectations carry the same significance as our delivery performance. Many quotes are responded to in less than 24 hrs from the time of their receipt. Our quote response performance exceeds our delivery performance by a half percent at 98.5% on time responses. This technology gives us the capability to produce precision parts with shorter lead times than most other companies, thus reducing our and our customer’s inventory. By reducing inventory, controlling costs, and having a quicker response time than most, this gives our customer the flexibility it needs to effectively manage and control their requirements.
